The Mark
QUESTION: Why would anyone accept the mark?ANSWER:What is the Mark of the Beast and why would anyone be willing to accept the Mark? The Mark will be a visible number or sign, which is placed either on the forehead or on the right hand during the
end times. The number is 666: "He [the Anti-Christ] also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666" (Revelation 13:16-18).
Why would anyone accept the Mark? Perhaps those who accept it will be atheistic, agnostic, or simply do not believe in the existence of God. Perhaps they will hate God so much for what they had been made to endure. People may be afraid of the torture and punishment that will come to those who would not accept the Mark.
The Mark of the Beast, which will be universally issued around the entire world, MUST NOT be received (under any circumstances), even by Christians! The Bible says, "A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: 'If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.' This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus." (Revelations 14:9-12).
The eternal destiny for all who receive the Mark of the Beast is definite! Those who accept the Mark will suffer eternal torment in Hell.
The only ones who will be faced with this decision will be those who are still on earth during the Tribulation. All Christians will have been removed from the earth at the
Rapture. Those who are saved during the Tribulation will be faced with the wrath of the Antichrist, the Beast, and his Mark. Those who are truly saved and believe will suffer torture, torment, and execution with pride and passion knowing that they will soon be with their Lord and Savior to live out eternity.
